Dr. Capulzini received his medical degree from the Vita-Salute San Raffaele Hospital, Milan (Italy) in 2002 and his specialist certificate in cardiology from the University of Genova (Italy) in 2007.From 2008 to 2010 he did two years of subspecialization in electrophysiology (clinical and research) in the field of catheter ablation of arrhythmias and Brugada Syndrome, at the University of UZ Brussel, in the department of Professor Pedro Brugada.
He is currently in charge of the Rhythmology Department at the CHR Mons
His areas of specialization include catheter ablation of ventricular arrhythmias
and complex atrial diseases (atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia), as well as the implantation and management of treatments using implantable cardiac devices (pacemakers, implantable defibrillators and resynchronization devices, loop-recorder).
He is the author of numerous scientific publications and books in this field. His research activities are particularly in the development of new catheter ablation technologies and pharmacological maneuvers used in pulmonary vein isolation procedures for the treatment of atrial fibrillation and for the ablation of ventricular tachycardia.
